Diving Diseases Research Centre.
The DDRC was established in 1980 to research effects of diving on human
physiology. It is the largest & busiest Hyperbaric Medical Centre in the South
West. The Centre which is located adjacent to Plymouth's Derriford
Hospital has become a World Authority on Hyperbaric Medical Treatments.
As well as dealing with Diving related emergencies the centre is used
extensively by Hospitals in the South West for treatment of more routine
conditions. Pauline has spent many weeks here and now has a Certificate for the
90 dives she has effectively made - more than many real divers!
